  Dave Erdman

Dave Erdman has helped Hawaii’s businesses capitalize on the changing and evolving trends of Asia-Pacific travelers for more than twenty years.

As founder, chief executive officer, and president of PacRim Marketing Group, Inc. and its high tech on-line marketing sister company, PRTech, LLC, Dave provides strategic counsel to help businesses and organizations increase their Asian traveler customer share from Japan, Korea, and China.

Before establishing PacRim Marketing Group in 1990, Dave was a senior consultant for Hill & Knowlton/Communications Pacific, Hawaii's largest public relations firm at the time. Prior to that, Dave worked at Tropical Rent-A-Car for ten years, where, as vice president of marketing and sales, he opened regional offices in Japan, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as managed a national sales force of 35 multi-line representatives. In addition, he was a director of Suntrips, a major charter operator to Hawaii and Mexico. Dave also held positions at Maui Inter-Continental Hotel, Japan Airlines Hotel Company/Nikko Hotels in Japan, and Travel Management Associates, where he worked with clients such as the Halekulani Hotel.

Dave's past and present professional affiliations include PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association), Hawaii Chapter, where he served as Chairman in 1993-94. A key program initiated as Chair, with Vice Chair Joy Toy's leadership, was the First Annual Travel and Tourism Research Seminar co-sponsored by PATA-Hawaii Chapter, and TTRA Hawaii Chapter, featuring International speakers on key tourism and research topics. The PATA-Hawaii Chapter was recognized as America's Chapter of the Year during his year as Chair.

Dave is a member of the Retail Merchants of Hawaii, where he currently serves on the board of directors, the executive committee, and is Chairman of the Retail Tourism Committee. In 1999, Dave was awarded The Governor's Retail Merchant Award in recognition of his contributions to the retail industry. Specifically, Dave was honored for assisting the Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau with integrating retail and tourism marketing. He was the second recipient of this award that is sponsored annually by the Governor.

Dave has both lived and worked in Japan and is fluent in Japanese. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii, Manoa, where he majored in Asian/Japanese Studies and minored in Travel Industry Management and Marketing. He also majored in East Asian Languages/Japanese studies and business at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania.
 
       
  Jon Kaneshiro
Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer for PRTech, Jon has a broad range of responsibilities including software/system development, documentation and ongoing product management for major clients’ web sites/software. He deals with all aspects of the businesses operations, including research, concept definition, design, systems development scheduling, production and logistics.

Jon has held a System Developer position at Wave Internet, LLC where he worked on database-driven applications utilizing ASP.NET, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript and SQL technologies and Mainframe Backup Operator for Pacific Asia Computer Services, Inc. performing daily and weekly backups and providing client technical support.
 
       
  Noriko Puaa
Director of Operations
PRTech, LLC

Noriko Puaa uses her knowledge of languages, technology, and client needs to develop and manage websites and client accounts.

She is multilingual (Japanese, English, Russian) and has nearly ten year of experience in web development and management in Tokyo and Honolulu.

Before joining PRTech in 2009 as Project Manager, Noriko was the International Marketing Coordinator at Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she planned and created a new Japanese and English corporate website and promotional materials in Japanese. Prior to that, she was a manager at G-Call Corp, where she handled similar responsibilities and developed databases. Previously, she had been with PacRim Marketing Group, PRTech’s sister company, for four years, working in various capacities including: e-marketing manager, tour and travel manager, and e-marketing systems coordinator. She has also worked in Tokyo, Japan, as a System Engineer for Asahigin Software.

Noriko holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan, where she also obtained English and Russian Teacher’s Licenses from Sophia University. She also attended MultiMedia School Wave / Vocational IT School in Tokyo, Japan, studying computer languages, website creation and maintenance, including HTML, SQL, PHP, Perl, Java, JavaScript, MySql, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash. Noriko has participated in exchange programs in the United States and England, and Russia.
 
       
  Stephen Curtis
Online Strategy Manager/Lead Developer

Stephen has more than ten years of experience in the web development field. He has diverse application, web and database development skills. His work experience included: web development, technical support, network administration, graphic & print design print, database development and management. He has been trained in specializations; JAVA, C#, PERL, MSSQL, PHP, ASP/NET, AJAX, CSS among a few.

As PRTech’s web developer Stephen oversees planning, scheduling, designing, developing and producing a variety of computer, web and multimedia programs to support customer needs.

Stephen is an Honors Graduate Chinese-Mandarin at Defense Language Institute.
